About Us

The Tropical Institute of Community Health and Development (TICH) is a premier institution committed to empowering individuals, families, and communities through transformative education, research, and skills development. Established in 1998, TICH has pioneered training in community health and development, fostering leaders equipped to address health and livelihood challenges. Our programs, ranging from Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) to community health and medical courses, are designed to build sustainable solutions while promoting justice, dignity, and evidence-based practices in health and development.

TICH's mission extends beyond education, emphasizing collaborative partnerships and research to inform policies and programs that benefit society's most disadvantaged. Our work has a profound impact, combining practical training with strategic leadership to develop solutions addressing health disparities, poverty, and community resilience. With a legacy of innovation and a commitment to sustainability, TICH continues to build on local capacities while preparing communities to thrive in an evolving world.
